What Is Ionic Coral Calcium?

Discover the truth about ionic coral calcium -- from the Editors of Internet ScamBusters

Ionic coral calcium is simply coral calcium that's gotten wet.

This means, whether you take coral calcium as a powder in juice or another drink, or a coral calcium capsule that dissolves in your stomach, coral calcium can become ionic.

There's a great benefit to ionic coral calcium...

Just eating regular calcium -- whether it's from dietary sources (like dairy) or a calcium supplement -- doesn't ensure it's going to get into your bloodstream and strengthen your bones, teeth, and other parts of your body.

Calcium has to become ionic (become ionic coral calcium) and be in the presence of Vitamin D3 and other minerals inside your body in order for it to be absorbed.

Many other types of calcium supplements (like inorganic calcium carbonate) can't become ionic when exposed to moisture. This means that only a small portion of these types of calcium become absorbed and usable to the body -- most of it gets wasted.

Even worse, since the calcium can't be absorbed into the bones, it builds up in your soft tissues and can increase your risk of arthritis and even heart attacks.

Is All Coral Calcium Ionic?

Unfortunately not. As discussed elsewhere on this site, there are two types of coral calcium, above sea coral calcium and marine or below sea coral calcium.

Above sea coral certainly has the ability to become ionic coral calcium because it's harvested in its natural state. Below sea marine coral may or may not have this ability because of the processing (intense heat) used to purify it of the heavy metals present in the waters around Japan.

This is one of many reasons we recommend above sea ionic coral calcium.

The coral reefs of Japan are the source for the vast majority of the world's coral calcium, and there are several reasons why Japan, and the Okinawan prefecture specifically, provide the best ionic coral calcium in the world.
